2005: Spanish Fort High School
is scheduled to open in the fall of 2005 in time for the coming
school year. The new school is being constructed in Spanish Fort,
Alabama. The school is designed to hold ???? students and consists
of approximately 116,000 square feet. This state-of-the-art school
is cooled by geothermal wells that reduce power cost by two-thirds.
The construction cost is ~$13,000,000.

2005: RCCI was
listed as the low-bidder for the General Construction of the
Vigor High School Classroom
Addition
to be located in Prichard, Alabama. The classrooms were
designed by Watermark Associates of Mobile, Alabama. The project is
valued at $9,600,000 and will be completed
in the summer of 2006.

April 2005: RCCI
started the historic renovation of the Mobile Public Library
which will completed in May 2006. The project has a construction
cost of $4,046,000.
RCCI is proud to announce the birth of
Alexander Wayne Stork, the son of Laura and Gerald
Stork. Laura is the receptionist for both RCCI and Saad and Vallas
Realty. Alexander was born on May 7, 2003 weighing in at 5 pounds
and 7 ounces and measuring 17-1/2” long. Brothers Louis and
Cooper are very proud of the family’s newest addition.
Rod
Cooke Construction, Incorporated recently celebrated it’s 10th
year anniversary at Squires Farm, the home of Buddy and Cindy
Squires. Rod Cooke credits much of his success and the longevity of
the company to his wife Kitty Cooke.
RCCI was recently listed as low-bidder for
the General Construction of the City of Meridian Parking Garage
to be located in Meridian, Mississippi. The six story facility was
designed by Dale & Associates of Jackson, Mississippi. The project
is currently undergoing value-engineering analysis and construction
should be underway in the Spring of 2003.
Blount High School construction
is well underway. The new school is being constructed on Lott Road
in Prichard, Alabama. The facility is designed to hold 1,400 students
and consists of approximately 185,000 square feet. There will be
six main buildings to include: Administration/Media Center; Theater/Gym;
Home Economics/Vocational Building; English/Social Studies Building;
Science/Math Building; and Art/Choral/Drama/Band/ROTC Building.
The school will also have stadium facilities that include home and
visitor bleachers, concession, and restroom buildings
New/Old Addition: RCCI welcomes
Steve Gibbs and his family back to Mobile, Alabama.
Steve originally worked for the company shortly after its inception
in 1993 until 1997. We are proud to have him back as part of our
Project Management Team. Steve is a graduate of Auburn University’s
Building Science Department and is a member of the Building Science
National Honor Fraternity: Sigma Lambda Chi and the Builders Guild.
With 11 years of Project Management and Estimating experience he’ll
be a great asset to the company.
RCCIs newest addition is Rodney
Wesley Cooke, III. Little Wesley was born to Wes and
Kerri Cooke on Memorial Day. Hes the first child for Wes and
Kerri as well as the first grandchild for Rod and Kitty Cooke. Everyone
at RCCI congratulates Wes and Kerri on their joint project being
completed on time and within budget.
Recently completed projects include the 325-Man
Minimum Security Prison and Sheriffs Administration Building
for Mobile County. In addition, the Holloway and ORourke
Elementary School renovation and addition projects have obtained
substantial completion and will be ready for students shortly.
Construction began this summer on the additions
and alterations of the Williamson High School
in Mobile, Alabama. RCCI would like to thank all subcontractors
and vendors that contributed to the success of this bid.
